A.  论文委员会

学生 in doctoral programs must demonstrate evidence of a high degree of scholarship, competence in scholarly exposition and ability to select, organize and apply knowledge through a dissertation.  “Guidelines for Preparing the 论文” as developed and enhanced by the 研究生 Faculty of 澳门皇冠体育, provides examples of best practices concerning format standards that must be met before it receives final approval by the 研究生部.

每位学生应索取一份“准备博士论文的指导方针”.

B.  硕士论文及专题

每个学生都应该获得一份 “硕士论文准备指南” or “硕士项目指南“

院校覆核委员会 and 机构动物护理和使用委员会 (IACUC)

• 如果你提议的研究涉及人类受试者, it must be approved by the 澳门皇冠体育 Institutional Review Board, (IRB).
• 如果你提议的研究涉及动物, it must be approved by the 澳门皇冠体育 机构动物护理和使用委员会.

学生的责任

• 根据政策选择主席 & 专业指导方针.
• Choosing the members of the dissertation committee in conjunction with the chairperson following the policies & 专业指导方针.
• Meeting with the chairperson and setting a schedule for completion of the dissertation in a timely manner.
• 按时完成任务.
• Turning in all dissertation material to chairperson typed in correct format.
• 了解并按时完成所有的截止日期.
• 及时归档所有表格.

顾问和委员会的责任

It is the chairperson’s and committee members’ responsibility to know policies, 规则, and regulations of both the 研究生部 and the major department relative to the dissertation process.

In addition the committee chair is also responsible for..

• 确保学生了解规则, regulations and policies of the 研究生部 and the department.
• Assisting the student in the formation of a committee.
• 定期与学生会面.
• 遵守预定的约会.
• Ensuring that the student’s work is properly documented and not plagiarized.
• Scheduling the prospectus hearing, if required, and the final defense of the dissertation.
• Notifying the committee members and the Department chair of the place, time & 招股书聆讯日期.
• Notifying the 研究生 Dean, College Dean, Department chair and committee members of the place, time & 最后答辩日期.

委员会的职责

• 参加招股说明书听证会和最后答辩.
• Read the student’s work throughout the writing process.
• Provide written feedback for correcting and/or improving the dissertation.
• Department Chair/Program Director’s Responsibility

It is the department chair/program director’s responsibility for knowing and enforcing policies, 规则, and regulations of both the 研究生部 and department/program.

主席/主任还负责…….

• Ensuring that the graduate faculty of the department/program know and adhere to the policies, 规则 and regulations of the 研究生部.
• 让教员跟上规则的步伐, policy and procedure changes from the 研究生部.
• Serving as a liaison between the student and the advisor, if necessary.
• Ensuring the dissertation advisor and all committee members are qualified to serve.
